★★★★★★★★★★4.9 · 515 reviews · 8 hours · from $120Our pick

Leave Mendoza by van for El Relincho Cabalgatas, where Stella and her family match you with a calm horse for a mountain ride of about three hours. Follow gaucho guides to a 2,100-meter viewpoint, then return to the ranch for beef, pork, salads, vegetables, wine, and dessert. English and Spanish support is available.

“Couldn’t recommend this enough! It was such a memorable experience. The horses are carefully chosen for you based on your height and experience. 3 hours flies by and the horses are so experienced you have nothing to worry about. The food afterwards was also delicious. Just a warning for those with motion sickness though, the drive to/from the ranch is quite bumpy so just be prepared.”

“We had an incredible day flyfishing in the Andes mountains. Going up the mountains on the way to Valley De Uco we enjoyed the view of Embalse Potrerillos and the majestic view of the Andes. After arriving to La Quebrada de El Condor we got prepared for a very special day of fishing. Our tour guides Daniel and Agustin were very helpful, kind and accommodating. My husband and I were guided by Agustin, who shared with us his wonderful skills and was incredibly helpful. We enjoyed a very special day in a beautiful place, listening to the sound of the mountain stream, seeing condors and catching trout. An amazing experience.…”

Visit Potrerillos Dam, Uspallata, Puente del Inca, and Aconcagua Provincial Park, where you walk toward Horcones Lagoon. A breakfast stop, wine, and a traditional BBQ are included.

“Joaquín was the best guide you could ask for! A perfect mix of broad knowledge about the mountains, funny stories from his previous time as a mountain guide and about the country itself made the day absolutely stunning and special for us. He managed to bring us to Aconcagua before all the bigger groups arrived so we were able to experience the parc in absolute silence, something that you would never experience in the Alps (where we are from). After this day we felt like we have met a new friend and we hope to come back to Mendoza one day and be able to have a BBQ or another…”
